Wednesday

Day Sixty One & Two....

Nothing obvious to show. One apprenctice is left on site, going round finishing off jobs that were left 90% finished. But, our light switches and power points arrived today.

Sunday

Weekend (Doctor Jenny)....

With my fast paced life style, my body needs a lot of attention. I visit Doctor Jenny for some acupuncture and physio. The fluro lights do nothing for my complexion...

Weekend....

The usual weekend water action. Giving it my all. Under the Poinciana tree. And maybe a bit of glamour photography?

Day Sixty....

The tilers worked in the toilet and powder room. They'll be back next week to finish off the grout and a few little things. The rest of walls in these rooms will be wallpapered.
Only one of the apprentice builders were on site. Just a bit done here, a bit done there.

Friday

Day Fifty-Nine....

The electrician installed half the lights. They look good. And, the remaining window arrived for the kitchen.

Day Fifty-Eight....

The plumber came and did his usual workmanship. One of the bath tap handles started spurting water and wet all the marble tiles.

Wednesday

Day Fifty-Seven....

The 'Designed by Carly Palmer' bathroom vanity arrived. The marble top will arrive later. A lot of cornices and edging were done through the house.

Day Fifty-Six....

The grouting was finished. The roof in the scullery was realigned for the VJ's to line up. And a few cornices were put on.

Day Fifty-Five....

The wall tiles were installed in both the kitchen and the bathroom. It makes a huge difference.  The grouting will be done on Monday.

Thursday

Day Fifty-Four....

The work centred in the pantry and toilet. A new ceiling and some dividing walls were almost finished. The tilers are back tomorrow, so Carly had to paint the bathroom in readiness.

& Stella waiting for sand...

Day Fifty-Three....

The cornices and some of the window frames were put in place.

Day Fifty-Two....

The bathroom tiles were grouted and some plumbing and framing work was completed.

A bird also started attacking Stella's ball.

Tuesday

Day Fifty-One....

The tilers finally came. The bathroom floor was completed. The builders finished off the toilet floor and some of the framework. And Stella really feeling it after a hard days work.

Weekend....

Just a bit of swimming.

Sunday

Day Fifty....

The floorboards were laid in the new pantry.

Thursday

Day Forty-Nine....

Stripped back the toilet and bathroom. The tiles, shower, toilet and walls are gone.

We took Stella to Wellington Point for fish & chips, a run on the mud/sand and a quick dip.

Day Forty-Eight....

Just tidying up and framework done today. Tomorrow the toilet will be removed and the tiles ripped up.

Tuesday

Day Forty-Seven....

A lot of work done today. The wall between the kitchen and the new pantry (existing bathroom) was opened. That's not where the new door will go, but it' a door that had been sealed for decades. The kitchen wall was readied for tiling. The bathroom was waterproofed.

A velvet chair and ottoman, pillows, 2 lamps, a table and a bed head arrived today. We'd ordered them a couple of months ago. We had to store most of it in the library.

Day Forty-Six....

The builder estimated he'd be finished in about two weeks. Not much visible work today. Tidying up floorboards and getting the bath and tiled area ready for waterproofing.

Friday

Day Forty-Five....

The tongue & groove for the ceiling and walls were set up along the verandah, deck, sunroom & kitchen. A lot of work done today.

Thursday

Day Forty-Four....

The kitchen ceiling was erected today. The builders were going to install it as a sloping roof. We definately wanted a flat roof, and it's drawn on the plans. Luckily we noticed before they'd gone too far. They had to lower the kitchen ceiling framework. It looks good.

Day Forty-Three....

The bathroom walls were readied for painting & tiling.

Day Forty-Two....

The floorboards were almost finished in the kitchen.

Tuesday

Day Forty-One....

Some of the old floor beams in the kitchen were replaced, and about a half of the floor boards were laid.
